A creamy, satisfying breakfast prepared the night before. This recipe combines old-fashioned oats with protein powder and chia seeds for a meal that fuels your morning without any cooking. It’s the ultimate grab-and-go solution for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 scoop (about 1/4 cup) vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Add the oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and salt to a 12-ounce jar with a lid. Shake well to combine.
  2. Pour in the milk and maple syrup or honey, if using. Secure the lid tightly.
  3. Shake the jar vigorously for 20-30 seconds until no dry powder remains.
  4. Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.
  5. Before eating, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk to reach desired consistency.

Notes

For best texture, use old-fashioned rolled oats, not quick oats. Shaking the jar thoroughly prevents clumps from the protein powder. Add fresh fruit, nuts, or other toppings in the morning. Prepared oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
