A vibrant, non-alcoholic mocktail perfect for Valentine’s Day. This berry-forward spritzer balances sweet fruit with bright citrus and festive bubbles. Make the base ahead for easy, elegant entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mixed fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup, or to taste
  • Juice of 1 large lime (about 2 tbsp)
  • Juice of 1 orange (about 1/3 cup)
  • 16 oz chilled seltzer, club soda, or sparkling water
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh mint sprigs and extra berries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a sturdy pitcher, add the berries and simple syrup. Gently muddle with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the juices.
  2. Pour in the fresh lime and orange juice. Stir well to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness with more syrup if desired. This base can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  3. When ready to serve, fill four glasses halfway with ice.
  4. Strain the berry-citrus mixture into the glasses, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. Slowly top each glass with chilled seltzer or sparkling water.
  6. Garnish immediately with a sprig of fresh mint and a few extra berries. Serve at once.

Notes

For a sugar-free version, use a sugar-free simple syrup. For a deeper red color, substitute blood orange juice. Always add the sparkling water last to preserve the bubbles.
