This no-bake dessert is the ultimate make-ahead treat for a game day crowd. Layers of graham crackers soften into a cake-like texture with a creamy vanilla pudding filling, all topped with a rich chocolate ganache and crushed Oreos. It’s simple, indulgent, and always a hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold whole milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 box (14.4 oz) honey graham crackers
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the instant pudding mixes with the cold milk for 2 full minutes until thickened.
  2. Gently fold in the entire container of thawed whipped topping until no white streaks remain.
  3. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, create a single, even layer of graham crackers, breaking some to fit as needed.
  4. Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the crackers.
  5. Place another full layer of graham crackers over the pudding.
  6. Spread the remaining pudding mixture on top.
  7. Finish with one final layer of graham crackers.
  8. For the ganache: Heat the heavy cream until steaming. Pour over the chocolate chips in a bowl, let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth. Let cool slightly until thick but pourable.
  9. Pour and spread the ganache evenly over the top layer of graham crackers.
  10. Immediately sprinkle the top with the crushed Oreo cookies.
  11. Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

Do not skip the long chill time; it is essential for the graham crackers to soften. For a quicker option, you can substitute the homemade ganache with one 16 oz can of prepared chocolate frosting, microwaved for 15-20 seconds to make it spreadable. The cake can be made 1-2 days ahead.
