A clean, protein-packed version of the classic ranch dip. Made with Greek yogurt and fresh herbs, it’s a versatile, flavorful dressing that’s quick to prepare and perfect for dipping, drizzling, or spreading.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (preferably avocado oil-based)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk, shaken well
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely minced
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely grated or pressed
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: A pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt and mayonnaise until completely smooth and blended.
  2. Whisk in the buttermilk and fresh lemon juice until the mixture is homogenous.
  3. Add the grated garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  4. Gently fold in the minced fresh chives, dill, and parsley.
  5. Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if desired.
  6. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh herbs. The dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For a dairy-free version, use plain coconut yogurt and unsweetened almond milk. Do not freeze.
