  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, fully softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth.
  3. Stir in the buffalo wing sauce and ranch dressing until uniform.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken, 3/4 cup of the cheddar cheese, and 3/4 cup of the Monterey Jack cheese until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and sprinkle with the remaining cheeses.
  7. Return to oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

For the creamiest texture, ensure cream cheese is fully softened and shred cheese from a block. Do not overbake. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
