Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a 12 to 16 ounce jar or sealable container, combine the rolled oats and chia seeds.
  2. Add the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Stir vigorously for 30 to 45 seconds until fully combined and no dry pockets remain.
  4. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats. Enjoy cold, topped with fruits, nuts, or nut butter as desired.

Notes

For a thinner consistency, stir in an extra splash of milk in the morning. The oats keep in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Use quick oats for a softer texture, or steel-cut oats for a chewier one.
