A quick and satisfying handheld meal featuring creamy Caesar dressing, tender chicken, crisp romaine, and Parmesan cheese, all wrapped in a tortilla. The secret layering method ensures a perfect, non-soggy wrap every time. Ideal for a busy day’s lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas (burrito-size, about 10-inch)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing, plus extra for serving
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup croutons, lightly crushed
  • Optional: 2-4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Lay tortillas flat on a clean surface.
  2. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing evenly over each tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border. This creates a moisture barrier.
  3. Down the center third of each tortilla, layer the chicken, Parmesan cheese, and optional bacon and sun-dried tomatoes.
  4. Top the chicken layer with the chopped romaine lettuce and crushed croutons.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla in over the filling. Starting from the bottom, roll up tightly into a snug cylinder.
  6. If packing, wrap tightly in parchment paper or foil. For serving, slice in half diagonally.

Notes

For best results, ensure lettuce is thoroughly dried. Warm cold tortillas briefly for easier rolling. Components can be prepped ahead for quick assembly. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas or large lettuce leaves.
