These adorable Grinch fruit sticks are a festive, healthy snack perfect for the holidays. They feature green grapes, strawberries, banana, and a marshmallow on a skewer to look like the Grinch wearing a Santa hat. They are quick to assemble and a fun activity for kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 green seedless grapes
  • 12 medium strawberries, hulled
  • 1 large firm banana, sliced into 12 rounds
  • 12 mini marshmallows
  • 12 wooden skewers or festive toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapes and strawberries thoroughly. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Slice the banana into 12 rounds, each about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Take one wooden skewer. Thread one banana slice onto the skewer, pushing it down about halfway.
  4. Next, thread one strawberry onto the skewer pointed-end first, so the wide base sits on the banana slice.
  5. Add one green grape to the skewer above the strawberry.
  6. Finally, carefully push one mini marshmallow onto the very tip of the skewer.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 with the remaining ingredients to make 12 fruit sticks.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to a few hours. For best results, assemble just before serving.

Notes

To make ahead, prep and store fruit separately. Toss banana slices in a little lemon juice to prevent browning. For a vegan version, use vegan marshmallows. For a sugar-free option, omit the marshmallow or use a small mozzarella pearl instead.
