A creamy, refreshing blend of sweet strawberries and tart lemonade, transformed into a healthy and nostalgic smoothie. It comes together in minutes for a perfect burst of sunshine in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 2-3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup ice (if using fresh strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Prep the strawberries, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender. If using fresh strawberries, include the ice.
  3. Blend on low, then high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness with more honey or lemon juice if desired.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt and almond milk. A ripe banana can substitute for Greek yogurt for creaminess. Add a handful of spinach for a hidden nutrient boost. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
