  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Ensure the cream cheese is completely softened at room temperature for a smooth, lump-free dip.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
  3. Beat in the sour cream and mayonnaise until the mixture is completely uniform and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Add the 3 tablespoons of Everything Bagel Seasoning, minced chives, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix on low speed just until evenly distributed.
  5. Taste and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper if needed. Remember, the seasoning blend already contains salt.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Before serving, give the dip a quick stir and garnish the top with an extra teaspoon of Everything Bagel Seasoning and more chives.

Notes

For a lump-free dip, softening the cream cheese is crucial. Letting the dip chill allows the flavors to meld and improve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not freeze, as the dairy may separate.
