Transform simple ingredients into a stunning, edible bouquet. Flaky puff pastry wraps around savory pepperoni and melty cheese, baking into beautiful roses perfect for a cozy celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet (8 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed but cold
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 48-54 slices pepperoni (about 4 oz)
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning or oregano
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.
  2. Unfold puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Roll gently to smooth creases into a 10×12-inch rectangle.
  3. Cut pastry lengthwise into 6 even strips, each about 2 inches wide.
  4. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce down the center of each strip, leaving a 1/4-inch border on long edges. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over sauce.
  5. Overlap 8-9 pepperoni slices along the top half of each strip, letting them hang slightly over the top edge.
  6. Fold the bottom half of each pastry strip up and over the pepperoni to enclose filling, creating a log.
  7. Starting at one end, tightly roll each log into a spiral, keeping pepperoni edge outward. Place each spiral in a muffin cup.
  8. Brush tops gently with beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  9. Bake 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  10. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold for easier handling. Do not overfill strips. Roll spirals tightly. Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated or frozen before baking. Reheat leftovers in air fryer or oven to maintain crispness.
