  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 1-2 lemons)
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt
  • 1/2 ripe banana (optional, for extra sweetness and creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: juice the lemons and measure out the strawberries, yogurt, and milk.
  2. Add the frozen strawberries, Greek yogurt, milk, lemon juice, honey, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender. Include the optional banana if using.
  3. Start blending on low speed to break up the fruit, then increase to high speed. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.
  4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with more honey or tartness with more lemon juice as desired. For a thicker texture, add a few more frozen strawberries; for thinner, add a splash more milk.
  5. Pour into glasses and serve immediately for the best texture and temperature.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use plant-based yogurt and milk. For a thicker, milkshake-like texture, use frozen banana slices instead of fresh. Leftovers can be frozen in ice cube trays and re-blended later with a splash of liquid.
