Rich fudgy brownies meet fresh juicy strawberries in this ultimate dessert mashup. Perfect for summer gatherings or a sweet treat any time, these brownies are easy to make and absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until glossy and slightly thickened.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. This allows the fudgy texture to set properly.

Notes

For best results, use ripe but firm strawberries. If using frozen berries, thaw and pat dry before folding in. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. These brownies freeze well for up to 3 months.
