Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (any kind – whole milk gives the creamiest texture)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or 12 shots of espresso
  • Whipped cream (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Heat until steaming, but do not boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Froth the mixture using a frother, blender, or whisk until foamy.
  4. Pour brewed coffee or espresso into a mug and add the pumpkin milk mixture.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Try with oat or almond milk for a dairy-free version. Use maple syrup instead of sugar for natural sweetness. Add a tiny pinch of salt to enhance the flavor if using unsweetened milk.
