Skip the coffee shop and make your own rich, spiced pumpkin sauce at home. Perfect for lattes, cold brew, or even pancakes—this velvety blend delivers cozy autumn flavor in every spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or ¾ cup for less sweetness)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, and heavy cream over medium heat.
  2. Stir in vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Optional: Strain through a fine mesh sieve for smooth texture.
  5. Let cool completely and store in a jar or squeeze bottle in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Substitute heavy cream with coconut cream for dairy-free version. For lower sugar, use monk fruit sweetener or erythritol. Great in coffee, tea, yogurt, oatmeal, or over ice cream!
