These irresistible Oreo balls with a creamy center and satisfying crunch are the perfect no-bake dessert. Made with just three simple ingredients, they vanish quickly at any gathering and are perfect for busy days or last-minute parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (8 ounces) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 16 ounces melting chocolate or chocolate candy coating

Instructions

  1. Create the Oreo Crumbs: Place the entire package of Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until you have fine, uniform crumbs. Alternatively, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix in the Cream Cheese: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a large mixing bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and mix until completely combined and a thick, uniform dough forms.
  3. Form the Balls: Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion the mixture and roll each portion between your palms to form smooth, one-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill Thoroughly: Freeze the shaped Oreo balls for at least 1 hour, or until very firm. This step is crucial for easy dipping.
  5. Melt the Chocolate & Dip: Melt chocolate or candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Dip each frozen Oreo ball into the chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, and return to parchment-lined sheet.
  6. Decorate & Set: Add sprinkles or drizzles immediately after dipping while chocolate is still wet. Let coated balls sit at room temperature until chocolate is completely set and firm.

Notes

Smart Swaps & Variations: Use any Oreo flavor you love (mint, peanut butter, golden). For best texture, stick with full-fat cream cheese. Chocolate almond bark or candy melts are ideal for dipping as they set firmly. Storage: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Common Mistakes: Don’t skip chilling the balls before dipping. Ensure Oreo crumbs are fine, not coarse. Use softened, not cold, cream cheese. Melt chocolate gently to avoid seizing.
