Ingredients

Scale
    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds)
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • Juice and zest of 2 oranges
    • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
    • Juice and zest of 1 lime
    • 3 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the citrus glaze:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients: olive oil, citrus juices and zest, garlic, honey, oregano, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken in a zip-top bag or dish and pour marinade over. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375–400°F). Clean and oil grates.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, simmer orange juice, honey, and soy sauce. Mix cornstarch with water, then stir into simmering glaze. Cook until thickened. Stir in butter. Set aside.
  5. Grill chicken 5–7 minutes per side until internal temp reaches 165°F. In final 2 minutes, brush with glaze on both sides.
  6. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle with extra glaze before serving.

Notes

No grill? Bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes, brushing with glaze in final 5 minutes. Chicken thighs work great too—just adjust cooking time. For extra citrus pop, add zest to the glaze as well!
