-
- Cream or Half-and-Half: 2 to 3 tablespoons of cream, half-and-half, or whipping cream. For a richer texture, use more cream.
-
- Fruit Juices: 1 to 2 teaspoons of fruit juice (lime, pineapple, or citrus juice) for an extra burst of flavor. You can add more based on your taste preference.
-
- Garnishes:
-
- 1 lime wedge
-
- 1 cherry
-
- A pinch of sprinkles (optional, for added fun and color)
Instructions
- Choose Your Basis Soda Begin by selecting a soda or sparkling water. For a light and refreshing base, you can choose something traditional, such as Coca-Cola and root beer, to enjoy a full-bodied flavor or citrus-lime soda.
- Add flavored syrup. Pour around 2 tablespoons of the syrup you want to use inside the glass based on the strength you’d like to impart the flavor to. The flavor tends to shine with an extra teaspoon of syrup if you use more intense fruit syrups.
- Mix the cream. Mix 1/2-and-half or heavy cream to the drink in the cream, and adjust the quantity to your desired degree of creaminess. You can use coconut milk or a different non-dairy substitute for dairy-free alternatives.
- Mix and Stir Mix all ingredients well. You can stir with a straw or spoon, ensuring that the cream does not separate from the soda.
- Garnish to style: Add a splash of style to drinks by garnishing them with fresh fruit, such as lime wedges and cherry, to give them the classic soda shop look.
