Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna with melted cheese and rich meat sauce layers

This Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna is a no-fuss, cheesy comfort food perfect for busy weeknights. With just 15 minutes of prep, it’s a family-favorite set-it-and-forget-it dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages (25 oz each) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 jars (24 oz each) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat (5-7 minutes). Add diced onion and cook until translucent (about 3 minutes), then stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer and remove from heat.
  3. Coat the crockpot with non-stick spray. Spread 1 cup of sauce on the bottom, then layer with frozen ravioli, half of the ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and more sauce. Repeat, ending with sauce and remaining cheeses.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until bubbly and ravioli is tender. Let stand 10 minutes. Garnish with basil before serving.

Notes

Avoid lifting the lid during cooking—each peek can add 15-20 minutes to your cook time. For a vegetarian version, substitute meat with sautéed mushrooms and zucchini.
