Banana Chocolate Wrapped Puff

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (frozen, for easy handling)
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 large egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp caramel sauce
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (190°C).
  2. Slice bananas and chop chocolate if needed.
  3. Roll puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into equal rectangles or squares.
  4. Place banana slices and chocolate pieces in the center of each pastry piece.
  5. Fold pastry over filling and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold before use for the best flakiness. Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks during baking.
